Newcastle eye Everton ace Dominic Calvert-Lewin as transfer conditions shared
Newcastle are eyeing up a summer move for Everton ace Dominic Calvert-Lewin upon the expiry of his contract, according to TEAMtalk.
The online outlet reported via their website on 19 November that due to the “uncertainty” surrounding Alexander Isak’s future and Callum Wilson’s unreliability, the Magpies are “keen” to add another number nine to their ranks.
A move for the Toffees’ talisman is particularly “tempting” for the Magpies as they still need to be “careful” with the Premier League’s PSR rules, the report adds.
Everton cannot let Dominic Calvert-Lewin leave on a free transfer
Everton may have already entered talks with the Englishman regarding extending his stay at Goodison Park but that hasn’t stopped clubs from sniffing around Sean Dyche’s strongest striker.
The 27-year-old may not have been in the best form of his life this season, especially in the final third but it’s undeniable that the Toffees’ team looks worse without him in it.
Of course, there has been the odd occasion where Beto has stepped up and earned the Merseyside outfit points but, much like his teammate, he’s been far too inconsistent this term.

Armando Broja is also on the cusp of finally making his debut for Everton, but, when his goalscoring record over the past few seasons is taken into account, it doesn’t feel likely that the Albania international will have much of an impact.
If Calvert-Lewin is to leave Everton, it needs to be in January so they can scrape some sort of fee out of him and put it towards bringing in another number nine, otherwise, they could find themselves in some serious trouble.
In other Everton news, the Toffees have now been named contenders to sign an attacker they wanted to sign in the summer.
