Armando Broja Everton return timeline emerges

Armando Broja could yet return to the Everton first-team fold in December, according to the Daily Mirror.

The newspaper reported in its print edition (22 November, page 64) that the Albania international may come into contention once he gets some Under-21 game time in his belt having yet to feature since joining on loan from Chelsea due to an Achilles tendon injury.

It had been reported by the Liverpool Echo (20 November) that Broja would feature for the Toffees’ U21s side and now there is seeming optimism he can provide a boost to Sean Dyche’s front line before the end of the year.

Armando Broja debut at Everton could be what Sean Dyche needs

With the pressure mounting on Dyche at Everton, he will no doubt be keen to welcome Broja into his team as someone with the potential to offer the squad a new dimension and help create a change in the team.

We know that the player is capable of scoring in the Premier League and with question marks over the future of Dominic Calvert-Lewin, it is essential that the Albania international starts to get minutes in him now, which would make the Toffees more comfortable when it comes to the option of making the move permanent in summer for a fee of £30million.

It’s not unusual for injured players to turn out for the Under-21 teams and this could well do the 23-year-old some good in easing him back into minutes gently.

With his boss hoping for a December debut for the striker, it is important that he starts to get match fitness in him now to mitigate the risk of any further injuries upon his return to first-team affairs.
