Friedkin can become instant Everton hero as incredible Dyche sack news emerges

Everton fans are just weeks away from saying goodbye to Farhad Moshiri.

And it might not be long before Sean Dyche also empties out his office at Finch Farm.

After the Blues failed to win for a fourth time in a row in the Premier League with their 0-0 draw against 10-man Brentford on Saturday (23 November), there was a sense of growing restlessness among the crowd at Goodison Park.

While most fans have appreciated that Dyche has worked extremely well with one hand – or even both hands – tied behind his back, the credit that the former Burnley manager had in the bank at Goodison is quickly fading away.

Dyche’s job safety at the Merseyside club has deteriorated to the point that there’s now speculation surrounding who could replace him once Friedkin completes his takeover next month [Alan Myers].

The Esk said after Dyche’s press conference earlier in the week that the 53-year-old held himself like a man under “extreme pressure” to turn the tide.

And after the dismal goalless draw with Brentford – who’d lost every away league game this season before their trip to Goodison – it’s emerged that David Moyes is being lined up to potentially replace Dyche at the club.

Dan Friedkin lines up David Moyes to be new Everton manager

As reported by Alan Nixon via his Patreon account on Sunday morning (24 November), former Blues boss Moyes will be eyed up for a sensational return to Merseyside once Friedkin’s takeover is done.

Moyes, who managed the Toffees between 2002 and 2013, left West Ham at the end of last season and his appointment would likely be a popular one on the blue side of Merseyside.

Who better than Moyes to keep the team in the Premier League, bid farewell to Goodison Park and lead the Blues into a new era at Bramley-Moore Dock?

According to Nixon, The Friedkin Group would want an “experienced replacement” for Dyche if he’s sacked and Moyes – obviously – fits that criteria.

It is understood that the 61-year-old is admired by some of the people who are set to move into the boardroom while the job would reportedly appeal to the Scot.

Hiring Moyes to replace Dyche would make perfect sense.

Although he cannot promise incredible, fast-paced attacking football, he would more than likely guarantee survival and a revival in fortunes that saw him win a European title at West Ham.
