Adrian Durham reacts to ‘Outrageous’ Everton developments ahead
Adrian Durham has called the run of fixtures that Everton have coming up in December “outrageous”.
Speaking on talkSPORT [1 December] after the Toffees lost 4-0 to Manchester United away from home in the Premier League, Durham didn’t hold out much hope.
The Blues have now gone five games without a win in the Premier League and have Liverpool, Arsenal, Chelsea and Manchester City to contend with later in December.
Reacting to their recent results, Durham feared for the Goodison outfit, saying: “Everton didn’t score a goal in the whole of November. So how do they do a goal of the month? That’s an extraordinary stat.
“Second lowest chances created in the Premier League. Lowest goalscorers in the league. Seven wins in 35. One home win all season. Their December run of fixtures is outrageous.”
Everton at risk of being relegated after Manchester United display
While it’s still too early in the season to conclusively say that the Toffees will get relegated, the display at Old Trafford was far from convincing.
Conceding four against a Manchester United team that is in transition right now after the appointment of Ruben Amorim doesn’t paint a rosy picture for Sean Dyche.
The former Burnley manager might’ve built a pedigree over the years of helping his sides avoid the drop with his pragmatic approach, but the Englishman is losing the grip in Merseyside.
With the Blues 15th in the Premier League table, just two points above the relegation zone, it’s highly likely that they’ll go into the new year at risk of dropping into the Championship.

Everton have a challenging set of matches after the Wolves game on 4 December, and it’ll evidently be do or die for Dyche at that point.
While Farhad Moshiri backs the 53-year-old head coach to remain in the Goodison dugout [Sky Sports, 25 November], Dan Friedkin might not be as forgiving.
The Toffees will need at least a win and a couple of draws in the coming weeks to keep their distance from 18th place Wolves.
Dyche will need to ensure the Blues don’t lose at Goodison in their next fixture, with December a month to keep an eye out regarding his future at the Merseyside outfit.
