
Gary Lineker wowed by ‘excellent’ Pickford footage after Everton draw v Arsenal
Gary Lineker was wowed by Jordan Pickford after his performance for Everton in the draw against Arsenal on Saturday.
The Toffees secured a hard-fought point at the Emirates on 14 December with the England international playing a key role.
The 30-year-old made five saves [FotMob], with arguably the best being a low effort to deny Bukayo Saka which went down well with Lineker on Match of the Day.
He said: “Pickford was excellent today.”

There is no surprise that the shot-stopper had a telling impact on Sean Dyche’s side, he has done so for many years on the blue side of Merseyside.
The former Sunderland man put in one of his best performances for the Toffees in North London to secure a point which arguably wouldn’t have been possible without him.
On the day, there was little forward impetus from the away side which saw Mikel Arteta’s side continuously attack throughout the clash.
There was one moment where Abdoulaye Doucoure looked to be in on David Raya’s goal but he couldn’t take advantage in the only real chance for Everton.

This could be seen as a concern but in the end, a point away to a title-challenging side can only truly be seen as a positive.
With that being said, a lot of credit has to be given to Pickford for multiple moments of quality, as well as the defenders in front of him for a solid performance in the capital.
