Richard Keys issues Dyche sack claim at Everton after Premier League development
Richard Keys fears for Sean Dyche and his future at Everton after Southampton and Wolves sacked Russell Martin and Gary O’Neil respectively.
The Friedkin Group could hand Dyche a contract extension if things go well this season [TEAMtalk], but the beIN Sports presenter thinks otherwise.
Keys, who is disappointed to see that only three of the Premier League’s six British managers have avoided the sack far, believes the 53-year-old will not be on Merseyside at the start of the next season.
“I hope both O’Neil and Martin find their way back into the game”, Keys wrote on his personal blog (16 December).
“With Steve Cooper sacked earlier in the season were three British coaches down now.
“We’ve only got Eddie Howe, Sean Dyche and Kieran McKenna left.
“I don’t expect Dyche to start next season at Everton.
“The chances are Howe won’t be at Newcastle either and you’d be brave to suggest Ipswich will stay up.”
Richard Keys fears Sean Dyche’s time at Everton nearing an end
Dyche’s future remains a major topic of conversation at Goodison Park as many believe he is not to take the Toffees forward.
However, there is a general sense of optimism at Finch Farm at the moment after they earned four points from their last two games against Wolves and Arsenal.
Meanwhile, TFG’s takeover of Everton is expected to be announced anytime soon, with the new owners expected to make some funds available for new signings in the January transfer window [TEAMtalk].
It appears Dyche’s future at Goodison Park is not under threat, although things could change if he does not manage to extend the three-point gap with the relegation zone.

Although there are suggestions that Dan Friedkin could offer Dyche a new contract, it is worth noting that his current deal expires at the end of the current season.
So, it would not be a surprise if Keys’ prediction comes true and the former Burnley boss in not at the helm at the start of next season.
