Robbie Savage makes new Everton Premier League relegation prediction
Robbie Savage believes Everton won’t get relegated from the Premier League this season.
The Macclesfield head coach is full of praise for Sean Dyche after draws against Arsenal, Chelsea and Manchester City and feels the English manager deserves credit for the job he’s done.
Savage predicts the Toffees will stay in the top flight ahead of their move to Bramley-Moore Dock, with “stronger foundations” under The Friedkin Group (TFG).
Writing in the Mirror (27 December), he said: “Sean Dyche doesn’t get enough recognition for the job he’s done in stormy waters. Not many teams will take a point off Arsenal, Chelsea and Man City in consecutive games.
“I still think they will stay up comfortably and move to the new stadium at Bramley Moore Dock under new ownership with stronger foundations.”
Sean Dyche will keep Everton in the Premier League
Dyche was appointed the Blues’ head coach in January 2023, and since then, the former Burnley manager has faced several challenges.
The Englishman did well in maintaining the Merseyside outfit’s top-flight status in his first season in charge and was able to do so again despite a points deduction in the previous campaign.
With the Goodison faithful hoping for progress, Dyche has come under pressure due to poor performances at the start of this term, but the uncertainty around Farhad Moshiri and the takeover affected the on-field results.
With the challenging schedule in December, Everton were expected to be closer to the relegation zone, but they have valiantly overcome it.

Dan Friedkin’s arrival has ushered in a new era at the Toffees, and the Goodison faithful have high hopes from the Americans.
The Blues are 15th in the league table, three points behind 18th-place Leicester, but the English manager has shown enough to instil confidence that the Merseyside outfit won’t go down.
Dyche’s contract is set to expire at the end of the season, though, and it will be interesting to see whether TFG will stick with him for the long term.
