Calvert-Lewin exit: ‘Huge’ Everton exit deal ready and waiting to be signed
Fiorentina are preparing to offer Dominic Calvert-Lewin a “huge” pre-contract offer as his deal at Everton ticks towards expiry, according to Alan Nixon.
The journalist reported via his Patreon (29 December) that with Calvert-Lewin’s current deal up in the summer and able to sign a pre-contract in January, Fiorentina’s offer is “ready and waiting” to be signed.
Calvert-Lewin has previously rebuffed interest from abroad with an eye on staying in the Premier League, but Fiorentina’s contact offer, which can be tabled in just three days, could turn the 27-year-old’s head.

Calvert-Lewin’s contract at Goodison Park has been a sore point on the Toffees’ part for some time, with their precarious financial situation distracting from tying their number nine down to a new deal.
The 27-year-old remains Sean Dyche’s clear first-choice up front, having started in 16 of his 17 Premier League games this season, but just two goals so far show that Calvert-Lewin is hardly an in-form striker.
Fiorentina tabling a huge offer to the Yorkshireman ahead of a possible free transfer in the summer could prove to be a game changer on and off the pitch for Calvert-Lewin, yet the Blues still want to keep him.
Dyche has made clear in the past that once the Toffees’ takeover saga had run its course, attention would turn to addressing their star men’s contracts, but Dan Friedkin will likely have other priorities.
Tying down the likes of Jarrad Branthwaite – a player with boundless potential by comparison – will be top of the list for Friedkin, and it remains to be how long Calvert-Lewin has left on Merseyside.
