Neal Maupay brutally mocks Everton after what happened v Nottingham Forest
Neal Maupay has chosen to mock Everton following their 2-0 loss to Nottingham Forest despite being on loan from Goodison Park.
The 29-year-old joined Marseille in the summer on a season-long loan, and while there is an obligation to buy [OneFootball], he is still technically a Toffees player until next summer.
That truly rubs salt into the wounds after Sean Dyche’s side were dealt a 2-0 home defeat at the hands of highflyers Forest on Sunday (29 December), with goals from Chris Wood and Morgan Gibbs-White.
Reacting to the scoreline via X [29 December], Maupay wrote: “Whenever I’m having a bad day I just check the Everton score and smile,” followed by a smiley face emoji.

Maupay has well and truly burned all his bridges leading back to Merseyside, especially now after his comments on the 2-0 defeat to Forest, which in general is not a loss to be upset about.
The striker failed to make any real impact following his £15million move from Brighton in 2022 [BBC Sport], being loaned out to Brentford before rediscovering his former self.
The Toffees were nothing but supportive of the striker as he endured an awful drought in front of goal, but with his future away from Goodison Park all but confirmed, he’s throwing it back in the club’s face.
With The Friedkin Group’s takeover, and moving into the brand-new Bramley-Moore Dock Stadium, the Blues are on the up and will be thriving without the Frenchman in no time at all.
A new striker certainly should be on TFG’s to-do list ahead of the January transfer window, and if Maupay was still at the club now, he would be one of the first players forced out the exit doors.
