Pat Nevin wowed by what Iliman Ndiaye did in Everton v Nottingham Forest

Pat Nevin was left gushing over Iliman Ndiaye in the first half after his early chance for Everton against Nottingham Forest.

In what has been a difficult season for the Toffees, the 24-year-old has been a rare positive for Sean Dyche with three goals for the season so far.

The attacking midfielder started the game well with an early chance to put his side one up after some impressive play.

Although nothing came of the chance, Nevin was left full of praise for the player as he said on BBC Radio 5 Live: “No matter who Iliman Ndiaye is playing for he’s a joy to watch.

“Ndiaye is the bright spark who has creativity, he is miles above anybody else in this Everton team.”

Iliman Ndiaye impresses for Everton once more

Despite a disappointing afternoon with a 2-0 defeat against Forest, Ndiaye showed yet again the quality he possesses in this Everton side.

The 24-year-old has continued to be in good form this term as a core part of Dyche’s side and as they start to look towards the new year with a bit more optimism following their takeover, there is no doubt that he is one man who will continue to shine.

There is plenty of time left on the attacking payer’s contract meaning the Blues won’t be feeling too much worry about him leaving just yet but they do need to up their quality if they wish to see Ndiaye continue to impress in an Everton shirt for seasons to come.

As Nevin says, he has certainly been a standout for the Toffees this season and it’s hard to argue that there is a better player in the side currently so supporters will be hoping he can continue to show his quality in Blue.
