Sean Dyche spotted looking agitated after what happened in Everton v Forest

Sean Dyche was spotted on the sidelines looking “agitated” after the performance his Everton team put in during the first half of their clash against Nottingham Forest on Sunday.

The Toffees went 1-0 down in the first 15 minutes thanks to an impressive finish from Chris Wood and, from that point on, things seemingly started to destabilise for the home side at Goodison Park as the game ended 2-0.

Speaking live on the BBC’s Final Score Show (29 December, 15:26pm), BBC journalist Adam Cottier shared why Dyche was agitated with his squad on Sunday.

“He [Dyche] looks agitated by his team, they actually started the game quite brightly,” he said.

“Iliman Ndiaye had a shot that he scooped over the bar after a brilliant weaving run, James Tarkowski then went into the book for a late challenge and that seemed to really destabilise Everton”.

Sean Dyche will now be more worried about his Everton job

Now that The Friedkin Group have finally assumed full control over Everton, it feels like the Merseyside outfit’s future has been brought into question on more than one occasion.

However, since the season kicked off, Dyche’s future has been up in the air as his contract with Everton is set to expire.

Over the last month or so, it’s felt like fans have got back on his side and have chosen to back the Englishman to lead them until at least the end of the 2024/25 campaign.

However, if performances such as this one against Forest become a regular occurrence, it feels like the Toffees will get dragged back into a Premier League relegation battle, which is a far from ideal situation for everyone involved.

Dyche will have to try and find a way to get the Merseyside outfit back on track in their next game against Bournemouth otherwise things could start to go south rather quickly.
