Friedkin Group may have to sack Sean Dyche after new Everton stat
Everton suffered a seventh Premier League defeat of the season with a 2-0 loss to Nottingham Forest on Sunday.
The Blues currently sit in 16th place, just three points above the relegation zone albeit with a game in hand against Liverpool.
After the defeat to Forest on 29 December, a stunning stat has emerged that should force the Friedkin Group to consider the future of Sean Dyche sooner rather than later.
Courtesy of EFCStatto on X, the Toffees have failed to score in 38 per cent of their league matches under the former Burnley man.
Everton to sack Sean Dyche?
The Blues could be dragged into another brutal relegation battle this season if their forwards do not find their composure in front of goal soon.
Defeat to Nuno Espirito Santo’s side snapped a four-game unbeaten run that included draws against Arsenal, Chelsea, and Manchester City and a win against Wolves.
However, the Toffees have failed to score in three of their last five matches and are just three points above safety and that is a major concern.
Their two main striking options Dominic Calvert-Lewin and Beto have a combined three league goals this season, with the last coming in the 1-1 draw with Fulham on 26 October.

The Friedkin Group has so far committed to Dyche for the foreseeable future [Mirror Football, page 4, 21 December] since taking control of the club but that stance may change quickly if the club starts to fall back into the relegation dogfight.
His team is defensively solid, keeping the most clean sheets in Europe’s top-five leagues since 1 October with seven in 12 matches.
It is often said that Dyche plays for clean sheets rather than victories and that stat seems to suggest that the assumption is correct, it may cost him his job at Goodison Park.
