Everton Women ace Kenzie Weir back in training as new image emerges
Everton Women ace Kenzie Weir has been spotted back in training after an extended period on the sidelines.
This was confirmed by Everton Womens’ Official X Account (3 January) who shared a picture of the defender on the pitch at Finch Farm.
The defender has been out for an extended period since suffering an ACL injury in May 2024.
Why Kenzie Weir coming back is good news for Everton Women
This season, the Toffees were plagued with injuries with the likes of Elise Stenevik being ruled out for multiple months on end.
At the halfway point of the campaign, Everton women are currently sat ninth in the table and they will have designs on a stronger showing in the New Year.
The WSL’s winter break is set to end on January 18 when the season will kick off once again.
At the moment, Chelsea Women sit at the top and currently find themselves unbeaten in all 10 games that have been played.

If Everton Women want to improve their standing and perhaps end up in the top half of the table by the end of the term, things will have to turn around soon.
With the return of Weir now seemingly not all that far away, it feels like the second half of the 2024/25 season could turn out better than the start did for Brian Sorensen’s women.
