Sean Dyche questioned at Everton after startling Premier League reveal
Everton manager Sean Dyche needs more attacking coaching expertise, according to The Esk.
The forensic analyst revealed that the Englishman’s teams have scored 31 per cent fewer goals per game than other sides throughout his Premier League management career.
Dyche’s defensive pedigree has also been questioned, with his teams conceding slightly above the mean since he started his career.
The Esk wrote on his personal X account (3 January): “Doing further analysis on Dyche for something I’m writing. He says goalscoring is hard, yet clubs are finding it easier. +27 per cent more goals in the Premier League now than when he started his management career.
“He’s considered a good defensive coach by some. His Premier League career average for conceding goals is fractionally above the mean of all clubs in this period.
“However, through his Premier League management career, his teams score (on average) 31 per cent less per game than all other clubs. Yet, he feels no need for additional coaching expertise in this area?”
Sean Dyche needs to provide more at Everton
The former Burnley head coach has built a reputation of being a conservative, old-school manager over the years.
During his time at Turf Moor, the English manager caught a lot of people’s attention for the progress he made.
The Clarets eventually sacked Dyche after their struggles in the relegation zone.
Everton are in a similar position at the moment and are fighting to maintain their English top-flight status.

The Blues have scored the second-fewest goals in the league, with Dominic Calvert-Lewin and Beto failing to find the back of the net on a consistent basis.
Armando Broja’s return from injury is a big boost for the 53-year-old head coach, but it remains to be seen whether the Albanian will fire the Toffees to survival in the second half of the season.
The Merseyside outfit are just two points ahead of the relegation zone as they take on Bournemouth on Saturday (4 January).
Dyche’s contract expires in the coming months, and it will be interesting to see whether The Friedkin Group will want to stick with him.
