Nathan Patterson done at Everton as multi-million January transfer news emerges

Nathan Patterson could be done at Everton as new options are eyed with the January transfer window open.

The Scotland international has had a torrid time with injury in recent years, which has limited him to just three Premier League appearances this campaign.

Despite being just 23 years old, Sean Dyche has opted to utilise the experience of both Ashley Young and Seamus Coleman ahead of the Toffees’ number two.

With the winter window now open, there is every chance that a new right-back option is considered at Goodison Park, which could spell the end for the Scot.

Nathan Patterson could be done at Everton after January transfer update

Despite being just days into January, advanced talks have already been held over a deal to sign Flamengo full-back Wesley [Thiago Asmar].

The Toffees are expected to make a bid in the region of £16.5million and £24.8million for the Brazilian defender during the winter window.

Dyche and Co. are said to be interested in bringing a right-back to Merseyside in January and the 21-year-old could represent a progressive option.

It is safe to say that if the 2022 Copa Libertadores champion moves to L4, another ace would have to make way and that could be Patterson.

It doesn’t appear that the ex-Rangers man is trusted at Goodison and it could be for the best of his career that he makes a move away.

With The Friedkin Group taking over as owners in recent weeks, this move would be a statement signing, it is just unfortunate that the Scotland ace could be the fall guy in the deal.
