Sean Dyche surprises with Broja call – Everton confirmed XI v Bournemouth

Sean Dyche has made one change to his Everton starting lineup as they take on Bournemouth in the Premier League.

Armando Broja has been chosen by the English manager to lead the line at the Vitality Stadium on Saturday (4 January), as confirmed by the club’s official X account.

Jesper Lindstrom replaces Jack Harrison in the lone change as the Blues look to get crucial points in their relegation battle.

The rest of the team remains unchanged after the 2-0 loss to Nottingham Forest in the previous fixture.

The Merseyside outfit don’t have an encouraging record against the Cherries, failing to win on their last seven visits there.

Dyche will need his attackers to be on point to get the better of Andoni Iraola’s team.

The Toffees have scored the second-fewest goals in the Premier League this season, with Dominic Calvert-Lewin leading the line for most of the season.

Broja made his first start for the Blues in the loss to the Tricky Trees, but it’s surprising to see him back up front after struggling last time out.

Iliman Ndiaye will once again be relied upon to provide the flair and creativity up front for Everton.

It will be interesting to see how Vitalii Mykolenko fairs after his recent struggles, albeit it was against the likes of Arsenal, Chelsea and Manchester City.

The English manager may not be under pressure at the moment after the results in recent weeks, but things could change drastically if the Merseysiders are dragged into the relegation zone.

With the Toffees 16th in the table and two points behind the drop zone, anything less than three points will irk the Goodison faithful.

In other Everton news, The Friedkin Group could loathe the potential decision to sack Dyche.
