Youssef Chermiti needs Everton January transfer
Chermiti has found game time hard to come by in the current campaign, and his fitness issues haven’t helped the cause.
The Merseyside outfit signed the 20-year-old from Sporting in the summer of 2023, and he was afforded minutes off the bench.
In the 2024/24 season, the Portuguese youngster has made zero appearances for the first team.
Chermiti was on the Everton bench for the last three matches before the Bournemouth game, but an injury has once again hampered him.
Dominic Calvert-Lewin and Beto struggled to find the back of the net as the English manager relied on them.
Armando Broja has now made his way into the starting lineup following his return from injury, which has been a massive boost for the 53-year-old head coach.
The Blues have lacked firepower up front, scoring the second-fewest goals in the Premier League this term.
Chermiti needs regular minutes to develop, but it seems unlikely he’ll get the required opportunities at Goodison Park.
With another injury, it remains to be seen how long the Portugal Under-21 will be out, but a temporary move away would be best for both parties.
