Sean Dyche destroyed after what he did after Everton loss v Bournemouth

Ryan Williams was left raging at the “borderline offensive” comments Sean Dyche made after Everton lost to Bournemouth.

The Toffees suffered a 1-0 defeat at the Vitality Stadium on 4 January and Dyche claimed that he’s never made excuses since taking over the reins at Goodison Park.

However, he failed to take accountability for the result and the fact that the team are in 16th place.

“I’ve never made excuses since I’ve been here,” he said.

“We’ve had so many draws and the runs still not really on paper, a bad run if you add wins in it, but we haven’t had wins.”

Reacting to this, Williams, who is a professional scout and Toffees fan, said: “I have to admit, this quote in of itself is borderline offensive.

“This is absolutely throwing recruitment under the bus, when the truth is that it’s entirely Dyche’s fault that he’s ignored the nature of the players and frankly got it consistently wrong. He’s holding them back.”

Sean Dyche is running out of excuses to make at Everton

Williams is spot on here about Dyche.

He is not taking accountability for the loss or for the club’s current predicament and is only throwing everyone under the bus.

Dyche’s tactics have grown stale and everyone knows what they can expect from the Toffees and what’s the best way to break them down.

He’s failing to get the best out of his players and neither is he managing to improve them to become better at their jobs.

At the end of the day, the buck stops with the manager and after being here for so long, he cannot blame everyone else and not take any of the blame.

Fans will certainly be grateful to him for getting them out of the mess they were in when he took over and also avoiding relegation post a points deduction last season, but the club need to find a way to get to the next level.

As things stand, that does not seem to be happening and The Friedkin Group need to bring in a new manager.

In other Everton news, the Toffees are in advanced talks to seal a new transfer and are expected to table a £16.5m+ bid.
