Sean Dyche sack: Friedkins aware as Everton ‘Crisis’ worsens
Dan Friedkin is aware of Everton going beyond crisis under Sean Dyche, The Esk says.
Paul Quinn, who goes by The Esk, believes The Friedkin Group (TFG) are 100 per cent aware that the English manager can no longer compete in the Premier League as they hold crunch talks about his future [Sky Sports, 6 January].
As things stand, the Blues sit a point above the relegation zone after losing to Bournemouth 1-0 on Saturday (4 January).
Speaking on Talking the Blues podcast (5 January), The Esk said: “The problem we’ve got now is that we’ve gone beyond the crisis.
“And he’s just at a point where his limitations are such that with the people that he’s got available to him, and with the competition, such as it is across the Premier League, he can no longer compete.
“And I think that the Friedkins are absolutely 100 per cent, in fact, I know that the Friedkins are 100 per cent aware of this. The question is, what do you do about it? And we’re all clamouring and, you know, the fan bases or clamouring for, let’s do it now.”
The Friedkin Group need to sack Sean Dyche at Everton
The Merseyside outfit are just one point above the relegation zone in the English top flight after losing at the Vitality Stadium.
Dyche has done a decent job keeping the Toffees in the league over the last few years, but the former Burnley head coach has been underwhelming this season with zero progress.
The 53-year-old has struggled to bring the best out of the players at his disposal in the current campaign as the Blues look toothless.
Everton have one of the worst goalscoring records in the Premier League this term, leading the Goodison faithful to question Dyche’s approach.

The Englishman is seen as a defensively astute manager, but the Merseysiders have been far from solid at the back this season.
While the likes of Dominic Calvert-Lewin, Beto and Armando Broja need to take some of the blame for the lack of potency up top, maybe it’s time for the 53-year-old head coach to change things up a bit.
The Blues can’t continue to hope for survival without being expeditious, and one of the key decisions for the Friedkins will be the future of Dyche.
