Sean Dyche sack: Finch Farm update drops today at Everton
Sean Dyche arrived at Finch Farm as usual on Tuesday despite Everton holding recent talks with Graham Potter, according to Sky Sports.
The broadcaster reported on 7 January that a rethink at Goodison Park over Dyche is expected, with more developments mooted in the next 24 hours.
Senior officials holding talks with Potter come as a surprise, with West Ham also said to be looking at replacing Julen Lopetegui at the same time.
Dyche took training at Finch Farm on 7 January and will also hold a press conference ahead of the Blues’ FA Cup tie with Peterborough United [Giulia Bould, 6 January], despite these updates.
Sean Dyche could be teetering on the brink at Everton
While Dyche doesn’t seem to be right on the precipice of being shown the door by the Friedkin Group to the same extent Lopetegui does at West Ham, his Toffees are in a much more precarious position.
Having escaped relegation in some style despite two points deductions last term, Dyche has overseen a huge downturn in form this time around at Goodison, as his side sit one point above the relegation zone.

West Ham, just two places but six points clear of the Blues in 14th, are in so much trouble as things stand, and it remains to be seen what kind of task Potter wants to take on when he makes his decision.
As a manager keen to take on a project, Potter will see the Toffees as potentially the right club at the wrong time, especially with the Friedkin takeover and their move to Bramley-Moore Dock soon.
The relocation makes Everton an attractive proposition, but remaining a Premier League club first and foremost is paramount, and it remains to be seen if Potter would want to be part of the relegation battle.
