Paulo Fonseca development emerges as Everton sack Sean Dyche

Paulo Fonseca is now understood to be an option to replace Sean Dyche at Everton, according to TBR.

The news outlet reported on 9 January that the former AC Milan, Porto and Shakhtar Donetsk boss is being considered by The Friedkin Group.

This comes after the club parted ways with Dyche and four other members also left the club along with him.

Paulo Fonseca could be an interesting option for Everton

Fonseca has won the league thrice with Donetsk and has experience managing in different European leagues.

He also plays an expansive style of football – something that the Goodison Park faithful have been longing for.

While Dyche managed to do his bit and keep the side him, the team was regressing under his stewardship and playing negative football.

The fans will hope that The Friedkin Group can make better managerial appointments than Farhad Moshiri and get this club back to the promised land.

With the new stadium opening next season, it’s best to kick-start that era with a manager who knows what he’s doing.

If that man is Fonseca, then so be it, but it’s important that the fans are backing him from minute one.
