Everton news: David Moyes mooted to bring in three new faces
David Moyes may bring Kevin Nolan to Everton, given their association at West Ham, according to Alan Nixon.
The newspaper journalist reported on his Patreon account on 10 January that along with League One side Northampton Town’s manager, Billy McKinlay and possibly Alan Irvine will also be moving to Merseyside with him.
It’s understood that he will sign a two-and-a-half-year contract at Goodison Park after an agreement has been reached with The Friedkin Group.
David Moyes is set to be the Everton manager once again
Moyes’s return to the club, backed by a seasoned team potentially including Nolan, McKinlay and Irvine, as well as the familiarity of Leighton Baines, could herald a new era of stability and success for the Toffees.
The Scotsman’s previous tenure at Goodison Park was marked by consistent performances and European qualifications, which the club desperately need now.
Nolan’s experience as Moyes’s assistant at West Ham brings a continuity of coaching philosophy, potentially easing the transition.
Baines, a club legend and former player under Moyes, stepping into an assistant role could not only help in implementing Moyes’s tactics but also in fostering team spirit and club culture.
This reunion of familiar faces might accelerate Everton’s recovery from their current league position of 16th, providing both tactical acumen and emotional connection to the club’s heritage.

It remains to be seen if he’s the right manager to bring back success to the club.
