Everton handed huge boost in Devyne Rensch transfer quest
Ajax are set to part ways with Everton target Devyne Rensch with his contract running out in the summer, Algemeen Dagblad.
The news outlet reported on 13 January that Roma are also keen on him and have made a bid but Ajax want more than the £4.2million that has been offered for the 21-year-old.
Transfer Feed claimed on 13 January that the Toffees have expressed a “significant” interest to sign him this month.
Everton must act quickly to secure Devyne Rensch’s transfer
The Toffees find themselves in a unique position to negotiate with Ajax and sign the Dutchman for a steal.
As Ajax will not be keeping him beyond the end of the season, they will accept a distressed sale this month.
Everton must leverage the fact that they are a Premier League club, have a new manager in David Moyes, new owners and will move into a new stadium this summer.
This is a new era at the club and if the pitch is made that they will not repeat the same mistakes as the previous ownership, the Toffees may be on their way towards becoming a serious outfit.
It remains to be seen if they can sign the Netherlands international ahead of clubs interested in securing his services.

They could offer European football and the chance to compete for titles – something that the Toffees cannot.
In other Everton news, the Toffees have submitted a bid to secure the services of a “wonderful” winger in January.
