Friedkins have dilemma to solve quickly amid Everton transfer news
Everton supporters are dreaming of a bright and prosperous future under the leadership of the Friedkin Group.
When the American group completed their takeover of the Toffees after years of turmoil under Farhad Moshiri there was a huge collective sign of relief.
And the new owners have wasted little time flexing their muscles, deciding to sack Sean Dyche just hours before the FA Cup win over Peterborough United and swiftly bringing David Moyes back to the club.
The focus now is obviously on helping Moyes steer the team away from a perilous position in the Premier League and a few new signings would certainly not go amiss in January to try and help that.
One player linked with the blue half of Merseyside is Ajax right-back Devyne Rensch, with Algemeen Dagblad (12 January) saying there is “serious” interest in a move for a player who is out of contract in June.
Everton and Roma transfer dilemma for TFG
However, interestingly the Dutch outlet also noted that among the other clubs interested in the 21-year-old is Serie A outfit Roma, who they say have already seen a £4.2million bid rejected.
This, of course, poses quite the dilemma for TFG, who are also the controlling owners of Roma and a battle between the two clubs is not the most ideal of scenarios.
Everton have options at right-back in Ashley Young, Seamus Coleman and Nathan Patterson, but the former two are in the twilight of their careers and the latter has had issues with injury and form.

With interest in Rensch from the likes of Napoli and Marseille as well, time is of the essence if a deal is to be struck.
And for TFG what they will certainly want to avoid is a conflict between two clubs in their portfolio. They must make a quick decision on this one.
