David Moyes may play family card to finalise new Everton transfer

David Moyes may turn to his brother Kenny in order to bring Tom Cannon to Everton in the January transfer window.

With Leicester also keen on cashing in on Cannon, a deal is there to be done for the Merseyside outfit.

He could personally contact him and swing the deal in his side’s favour ahead of potential suitors.

Tom Cannon would be a good January signing for Everton

To get the best out of Cannon, Moyes would certainly leverage his experience in nurturing young talents, as demonstrated during his previous tenure at the club with players like Wayne Rooney.

The Scotsman can start by integrating the 22-year-old into the first team through calculated game time, perhaps in cup competitions or as a substitute in league matches, allowing him to gain experience without overwhelming pressure.

Tactically, Moyes should focus on a system that suits the striker’s strengths, such as deploying him as a central striker in a 4-2-3-1 formation where he can utilise his speed and finishing ability.

Under Sean Dyche, tactics were stale and players were showing no signs no progress but under Moyes, things are expected to be different.
