Simon Jordan drops new Everton relegation verdict as Sean Dyche comparison made
Simon Jordan doesn’t think Everton will be one of the three teams to be relegated from the Premier League this season.
The Toffees recently re-appointed David Moyes as their boss after Sean Dyche was relieved of his duties due to the underwhelming performances his team put in this season.
Speaking live on talkSPORT (15 January, 1:55pm), Jordan shared his thoughts on Moyes’ appointment and told Everton fans to look “somewhere else” if they wanted a breath of fresh air among their ranks.
“They’ve got challenges, I don’t think they’ll get relegated but does that make them part of a relegation scrap, it makes it mean that they’ve got to be focusing on getting away from the bottom of the table,” he said.
“David was in part, hounded out at West Ham because of the style of football he played, so if they’re looking for a breath of fresh air at Everton, then they need to look somewhere else.”
David Moyes needs to turn things around at Everton soon
Although Moyes’ playstyle might not be all that different to his predecessor’s, it feels like the Toffees now find themselves in a better position with the Scotsman at the helm.
Of course, Dyche is a Premier League survival specialist with many believing that he was the right man to carry out the rest of the season with due to his skillset.
The 61-year-old managed to lead West Ham United to a Europa Conference League win and as Jordan said, he was hounded out by fans due to the way he played football.

While his playstyle might not be the most enthralling, it certainly gets results but unless a new number nine is brought in during the January transfer window, it feels like they’ll be starting to dig their own grave.
As, with the form that the likes of Dominic Calvert-Lewin and Beto find themselves in at the moment, it’s hard to see how the Toffees can scrape their way out of the relegation battle, even with Moyes at the helm.
In other Everton news, the Toffees have shown interest in Brighton striker Evan Ferguson.
