Everton £180m deal ‘imminent’, TFG to confirm ‘massive’ move soon
Everton are hoping to raise £180million from a naming-rights deal at the Bramley Moore Dock stadium, according to the Sunday Mirror.
The newspaper reported on 19 January that there have been multiple parties interested in agreeing a deal over the years but the Friedkins’ takeover has delayed proceedings.
An agreement could now be “imminent” in a move which could be worth £20m a year across the next 10 years on Merseyside.
The likes of Qatar Airways, DHL and Toyota have been linked with a “massive” deal at the Toffees’ new arena which hosts its first test event on 17 February.

There is no doubt that the Bramley Moore Dock stadium is going to be arguably the L4 club’s biggest financial asset after it’s completion.
For a side that has struggled so much financially in recent years, the potential to receive a large pay day through sponsorship is a huge boost.
Under Farhad Moshiri multiple points deductions threatened the Toffees with relegation from the Premier League ahead of the arena’s opening.
This arguably would have been a nightmare situation given the drop in sponsor fee that this would have caused on Merseyside.
Things have changed now and with the Friedkin Group in charge, debts have been wiped and David Moyes will be hopeful of keeping his side in the Premier League.
It is important now that the new owners at Goodison can strike a lucrative deal at Bramley Moore which can benefit the Toffees for many years to come.
