Everton Women send heartfelt message as Rylee Foster exit is confirmed
Everton Women have wished Rylee Foster well as her Merseyside departure has been confirmed.
The goalkeeper was signed on a six-month deal until January and won’t be having her stay with the club extended.
Thanks to their 1-1 draw with Aston Villa Women on Saturday 19 January, Brian Sorensen’s women are now ninth in the WSL and are just two points adrift of seventh-placed Liverpool.
Taking to their official X account (19 January) the Toffees sent a farewell message to the Canadian ‘keeper.
“Thank you and good luck for the future, Rylee,” they wrote.
Everton Women need to up their game this season
Now that the WSL is back, it’s time for the Toffees to start stepping things up a gear or two if they want to make it out of the bottom half of the table.
Since the Friedkin’s took over, they’ve brought many new faces to Walton Hall Park in order to try and bolster their chances of putting in a good name for themselves in England’s top league.
At the moment, Everton are sat in the bottom four of the top-flight table with West Ham United Women only two points behind them.

If they want to make a good name for themselves and to be able to set themselves up better next season, they’ll have to find their mojo and figure out how each player plays their game.
It feels like a tough ask but if they can break into the top half of the table by the end of the season and stay there, it could be a sign of bigger and better things to come from the blue half of Merseyside.
In other Everton news, Jamie Carragher has lauded a Toffees ace for what he did against Tottenham.
