Tottenham star Dominic Solanke to miss Everton clash after injury bombshell

Tottenham will be without Dominic Solanke when they travel to Everton on Sunday, according to Paul O Keefe.

In a post on X (18 January), the Spurs insider claimed that the star forward is ruled out of the contest after suffering a knee injury.

The Blues have lost their last six Premier League matches and sit one point above the relegation zone but the new update will give them hope that they can pick up three points on 19 January.

The 27-year-old has seven goals and three assists in 18 league matches so far this season but will not be able to add to that tally against the Blues.

Solanke injury a huge boost for Everton

The update is a major boost for David Moyes’ side, as Solanke is one of the best goalscorers in the top flight.

As a result of Solanke’s injury, Ange Postecoglou may have to rush former Blue Richarlison back into his starting line-up earlier than planned after his recovery from injury.

Timo Werner is another option to replace the England international but the German has failed to impress when given a chance and Toffees supporters would be happy to see his name in the starting XI.

The lack of worthwhile replacements for the former Bournemouth star will give the Blues confidence for the Goodison Park contest.

However, they are struggling for goals themselves with Dominic Calvert-Lewin and Beto scoring a total of three league goals this season.

Top goalscorer Dwight McNeil is ruled out for the clash, so it is unclear where the Toffees will get their goals from against the Lilywhites.
