Everton final Premier League position predicted by supercomputer

Everton are predicted to avoid relegation from the Premier League with a 16th-placed finish after their 3-2 victory against Tottenham, according to Opta Analyst.

The Toffees secured their first Premier League win since the start of December on Sunday (19 January) with a 3-2 victory against Tottenham.

Another concerning milestone was curtailed in the clash as Dominic Calvert-Lewin scored his first goal in 17 games, which could provide the Toffees with a huge boost in their bid to avoid relegation.

And according to Opta Analyst’s supercomputer, they are predicted to do just that.

The Toffees are predicted to finish 16th, just eight points above the drop with an 8.16 per cent chance of succumbing to relegation.

Everton can use momentum from Tottenham win

Not only was it Everton’s first win since early December, but it was the first league win for David Moyes since his return to the club, with plenty of signs of promise already there.

The biggest cause for optimism was the return to the scoresheet for Calvert-Lewin, who had previously been written off by many.

If Moyes can get his side playing in a way to suit the game of the forward, his record speaks for itself and he is more than capable of scoring the goals to guide the Toffees to safety.

For the first time in a long time, Everton have a clear identity and style of play and that is the foundation for a side to build from.

If Everton can use the momentum gained from their victory against Spurs, they have everything required to avoid a Championship campaign and they can surely start looking to build for a promising future.
