Everton star sends message to Dele Alli after new transfer development

Dele Alli received a message from Joao Virginia after the former Everton midfielder completed a transfer to Como.

Como announced Alli’s signing on an 18-month deal on Sunday (19 January), a month after he confirmed his Goodison Park exit.

Virginia was among those who took to social media to wish the Englishman luck on his latest transfer move.

“Good luck bro”, the Toffees goalkeeper wrote under Alli’s Instagram post along with a blue heart and raising hands emojis (19 January).

Dele Alli to find success away from Everton

Alli continued his rehabilitation with Everton in the first half of the season despite his contract expiring in the summer and there were suggestions that he may sign a new deal at Goodison Park.

However, he felt the time was right to move on, with Como then inviting him to train with them and eventually handing him a contract until the end of the 2025-26 season.

One cannot fault Alli for making that move as the 28-year-old now aims to get his career back on track in Italy.

The former Tottenham star has had a torrid time in his career and Toffees supporters obviously want the best for him.

It remains to be seen how playing under Cesc Fabregas in Serie A will affect Alli.

This is only his second stint away from Besiktas, having spent the 2022-23 season on loan at Besiktas, where he made just 15 appearances across all competitions.

He will be hopeful that things will be different this time.
