Everton transfers: Brighton weigh up Evan Ferguson loan decision as talks held
Brighton have held talks over whether to let Evan Ferguson out on loan before the transfer window closes with Everton still interested in a deal, according to the Daily Mail.
The newspaper reported in its print edition (24 January, pg 77) that the Seagulls are still weighing up whether to sanction a temporary exit for the Republic of Ireland international before the 3 February deadline.
The Toffees are named as an interested party, alongside Tottenham, Bournemouth and Fulham with a decision set to be made imminently.
Everton need more firepower amid Evan Ferguson links
This one is a tricky one for the Toffees, who already have their quota of domestic loans filled with Jack Harrison and Armando Broja.
There has been talk that with the latter of those players injured again that he could be sent back to Chelsea and if that could be sorted then the chances of bringing in Ferguson would be enhanced.
But regardless of whether the 20-year-old is the man the Toffees do look to bring in, they certainly could do with more firepower.

They have had plenty of problems with their strikers this season and although Dominic Calvert-Lewin’s excellent goal versus Tottenham was encouraging, that was only his third in the Premier League season.
David Moyes could do with a little more firepower as he looks to steer the Toffees away from the drop zone and Ferguson may provide a good option, provided they can move a few chess pieces around to make a deal happen.
