Juma Bah update emerges as Everton make transfer approach

Real Valladolid defender Juma Bah is not expected to be a regular starter right away for Everton, according to Dr Rajpal Brar.

The injury expert claims that as the centre-back is still only 18, even though he’s got decent first-team experience, it will still take him time to adapt to the Premier League.

This comes after Alan Nixon reported on 5 January that the Toffees had made an approach to sign the Sierra Leonean defender who’s expected to cost £12million.

Speaking exclusively to Goodison News, Brar, a specialist in Physical Therapy and Sports Scientist, said about Bah: “When switching leagues, I would always advise to gradually integrate a player.

He does have decent first-team experience under his belt even though he’s 18, but he would still be at the higher end of injury risk.

It is possible he will not be a regular starter for the first few weeks as he gets integrated to life in the Premier League.

Everton must avoid Juma Bah’s transfer pursuit

Having spent big money on Jake O’Brien in the summer and barely utilising him, the last thing the Toffees need to do is spend on another centre-back.

Signing a new full-back is the priority and that’s where the resources must be diverted in the final days of the window.

Hopefully, the fans have something positive to celebrate come the end of the transfer window.

In other Everton news, a right-back is now “expected to pass his medical” as the Toffees are eyeing a January swoop.
