Everton Exclusive: ‘FA charge’ likely after ‘Unacceptable’ footage
Everton and Brighton may be charged by the FA after the Premier League clash at the AMEX Stadium on Saturday, Keith Hackett says.
The Toffees picked up all three points with a 1-0 win on 25 January, with Iliman Ndiaye scoring the winner from the penalty spot.
Tensions were high after Joel Veltman was adjudged to have handled the ball for the penalty, with the two teams clashing after full-time.
Speaking exclusively to Goodison News, the ex-FIFA referee shared his opinion after watching footage following the end of the game.
“Unacceptable behaviour by both teams,” he said.
“Both clubs may be charged with failing to control their players.”

Everton set for FA charge after unacceptable footage
Although David Moyes would be unhappy with an FA charge, he will be delighted by the passion on show from his Everton players, which hasn’t been there all season.
Brighton can have zero complaints about the result either, with Veltman’s handball clear as day and the Toffees defending for their lives, which wasn’t needed consistently.
The likes of Yankuba Minteh could be in bigger trouble from the FA, with the winger incensed by something said and needing to be held back in the scuffle.
Jordan Pickford was at the heart of things, as usual, but he looked to be the voice of reason as he tried to celebrate another massive win for his side.
Moyes will put this behind already, FA charge or not, after his side created a seven-point gap to the bottom three with games against Leicester and Liverpool coming up.
