TFG yet to hold Downing and Bell talks at Everton amid US investment update
The Friedkin Group haven’t yet held talks with local fans George Downing and Andy Bell about Everton investment, according to Alan Nixon.
The journalist reported via his Patreon on 26 January that the American group are open to fresh backing at Goodison to help pay bills and fund David Moyes’ transfer budget.
There was a hope that talks could be held with local businessmen Downing and Bell about investing in the Toffees but have yet to seal a deal.
As a result, the Friedkins have reached out to contacts in the US with many of those in attendance at a game last week in the hope they would want to come on board in L4.

The Friedkins are yet to dip into the transfer market since taking over on Merseyside but could look to in the coming days.
With the winter window set to slam shut on 3 February, there isn’t much time remaining for the Toffees to make a splash on the market.
Investment from the US or closer to home could represent the boost that the Toffees need to bring in new signings to improve them for the second half of the season.
This could be necessary after injuries for Dominic Calvert-Lewin and Orel Mangala against Brighton which leaves the Evertonians’ squad quite light moving forward.
It doesn’t appear that any additions to cover for this duo are going to be funded by Downing or Bell who are yet to have talks at Goodison.
This could point towards potential investment ahead of the summer window which may prove to be more transformational ahead of the Bramley-Moore Dock stadium move.
