Everton continue contacts for Kyle Walker-Peters transfer, bid now made
Everton remain interested in signing Kyle Walker-Peters from Southampton as other clubs enter the race for his signature, according to Star.
The Turkish outlet reported on 27 January that the Blues are continuing their contacts with the Premier League’s bottom side over a deal for Walker-Peters, who has six months left on his contract at St Mary’s.
Walker-Peters is also the subject of a £5million bid from Galatasaray, who have started talks with Southampton as they look to strengthen their ranks with the 27-year-old.
Kyle Walker-Peters transfer can solve problem position for Everton
Upon the expiry of his Saints contract at the end of June, Walker-Peters is expected to attract interest from all comers, with Southampton already destined for an immediate return to England’s second tier.
Having shown that he’s more than capable at Premier League level, it’s no surprise to see widespread interest in Walker-Peters compared to his current team-mates, but the Toffees risk missing the boat.

Should Southampton accept Galatasaray’s £5m bid before 3 February, rather than losing him for nothing post-relegation in the summer, Evertonians will encourage the Friedkin Group to match the offer.
David Moyes’ side may be on an upward trajectory at the moment; their back-to-back wins coming with Jake O’Brien at right-back, and while it’s good to finally see him playing, he’s not a natural on the flank.
With Nathan Patterson injury-prone and both Seamus Coleman and Ashley Young well over 35, Walker-Peters could be the answer at right-back for the Blues, but only if they don’t miss out on getting him first.
