Everton officials in Scotland over Hamza Igamane transfer after ‘fiery’ talks

Everton watched Hamza Igamane in action for Rangers in their 3-1 win against Dundee United on Sunday, according to Tuttosport.

The Italian newspaper reported via their website on Monday (27 January) that Toffees officials were present at Tannadice Park on 26 January, although Igamane did not get on the scoresheet.

This comes after the Goodison Park outfit ramped up efforts to sign a striker before the window transfer window closes on 3 February following “fiery” face-to-face meetings at Finch Farm.

David Moyes to have busy end to window at Everton?

Everton are yet to make a signing during the winter transfer window, but may have a busy few days before it slams shut.

It appears Beto is still not in David Moyes’ plan for the second half of the season despite Dominic Calvert-Lewin picking up an injury in the 1-0 win against Brighton on Saturday, January 25.

Meanwhile, the Merseyside-based club are hopeful of sending injured Armando Broja back to Chelsea, who want them to take either Carney Chukwuemeka or Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall on loan [The Mirror].

That would leave the Toffees with Calvert-Lewin as their only senior centre-forward and even he is on the treatment table right now.

Therefore, it would not be a surprise if The Friedkin Group sanctioned the signing of a new striker in the final days of the window.

Having scored 13 goals and provided three assists in 27 appearances across all competitions this season, Igamane, 22, is certainly an attractive option.

However, Rangers are under no pressure to sign the Morrocan as he is contracted to them until 2029.

In other Everton news, the Toffees are lurking to sign this Premier League defender before the window closes on 3 February.
