Everton transfer exclusive: Claim emerges on Sunderland ace Dan Neil ‘medical’
Sunderland midfielder Dan Neil should clear his Everton medical amid his relatively perfect injury record, according to Dr Rajpal Brar.
The injury expert claims that his recent ankle setback may cause outliers, but it is not something that would cause him to fail his medical.
David Moyes is understood to be a fan of the 23-year-old and it will cost the Toffees £15million to sign him in this transfer window. [Telegraph, 22 January]
Speaking exclusively to Goodison News, Brar, a specialist in Physical Therapy and Sports Scientist, said about Neil: “Relatively perfect injury record and he’s also been getting consistent first-team minutes.
“He should clear his medical unless the club finds some outlier changes within the ankle from his one ankle injury.
“It’s not something I’d worry about too much, however, as the metrics look ideal.“
Everton may not have the £15million to sign Dan Neil
While Neil is a quality midfielder and at 23 would also be a long-term investment, the Toffees just do not seem to have the money to pursue his services.
The best they can do is a couple of loan signings but to pay this kind of money would mean selling one of their players.

The Friedkin Group are undoubtedly committed to taking the team to the next level but they’re working under certain limitations as well.
In other Everton news, an update has emerged on a Norwich star moving to Goodison Park as a £7million bid has been tabled.
