Everton ‘ready £30m+ late transfer spree’ as Nottingham Forest gem targeted
Everton will hand David Moyes £33.5million to sign two new attackers in the closing stages of the winter transfer window, according to Tuttosport.
The Italian news outlet reported on Wednesday (29 January) that Nottingham Forest and ex-Liverpool striker Taiwo Awoniyi has emerged as the latest name on the shortlist.
Tuttosport has widely reported Torino’s pursuit of Beto as the Blues forward will only be allowed to leave Goodison Park this window if an adequate replacement is identified.
The report adds that The Friedkin Group are ready to splash out over £30m, which will be offset by Beto’s likely exit.
Hamza Igamane, Evan Ferguson, Marcus Edwards and Brian Brobbey are other targets mentioned alongside Awoniyi.
David Moyes to embark on Everton spending spree
Evertonians are in for a wild final six days of the transfer window if the report is to be believed.
The Blues desperately need a new striker after the “worst possible outcome” was realised on Merseyside, with Dominic Calvert-Lewin set for an extended period on the sidelines.
Beto is essentially being held captive in England, and rightfully so – Moyes cannot sanction the sale of his only senior option to lead the line.
Furthermore, with the transfer dealings at Goodison Park expected to accelerate in the coming days, Beto has plenty of time to complete his long-awaited return to Serie A.
Everton are exploring multiple targets across all leagues, and with Brighton announcing Evan Ferguson is free to leave the Amex on a permanent deal [The Athletic], the chips are beginning to fall into place.

Rangers forward Igamane remains a hot topic of interest for the Toffees after scouts were left “very impressed” with the Moroccan after his display against Tottenham in the Europa League [TBR Football].
Considering neither is particularly setting the world alight at their respective clubs, £30m should be enough for Everton to sanction both deals and perhaps even the recouped funds for Beto to sweeten the pot.
The final days of the transfer window are beginning to heat up on Merseyside.
