Everton ‘points deduction incoming’ as Iliman Ndiaye image shared, pundit jokes

Michael Ball has joked that Everton could have a “points deduction incoming” after the Toffees shared an image of the attacker doing his infamous seagull celebration.

The Senegal international was given a yellow card in Everton’s last Premier League outing against Brighton after he did a celebration which imitated that of a seagull.

Writing via his personal X account (30 January), ex-Everton man Ball shared his thoughts on the image his former club shared.

“Yellow card, points deduction incoming,” he wrote.

Iliman Ndiaye has been the star of the show for Everton this season

Although Ndiaye was the Merseyside outfit’s biggest signing in the summer transfer window, it was unclear how pivotal he’d become to the Toffees in such a short space of time.

Since the start of the campaign Ndiaye and Dwight McNeil were the shining lights among the squad and since McNeil has been ruled out due to a knee injury, the former Marseille man has more than filled his boots.

Not only is he Everton’s most creative player but he’s also proven his worth in front of the net as he’s managed to bag himself a few goals of his own.

The winger cost Sean Dyche less than £20million to bring in and with the way things seem to be shaping up, he could end up earning them much more than that if he can help the Merseyside outfit avoid relegation.

Only time will tell what the future holds for Ndiaye and Everton but if they keep going on this upward trajectory, things should be more than fine at Goodison Park.
