Jack Harrison Everton updated shared after Leeds United recall news
Jack Harrison is set to stay at Everton on loan from Leeds United for the remainder of the season, according to The Mirror.
The news outlet reported (30 January) that neither party will be terminating the loan agreement during the winter transfer window and the winger will be staying put until the end of the campaign, as agreed.
There had been suggestions that the Blues would terminate Harrison’s loan in order to free up a domestic loan space, allowing David Moyes to add to his side while The Daily Mail reported (29 January) that Leeds may have turned to their loanee after missing out on several targets.
However, seemingly Harrison will be remaining at Goodison Park for the rest of the campaign.
Jack Harrison needs to prove himself at Everton
In his second loan spell with the Toffees, Harrison has failed to impress and across the season so far, he is yet to provide any goal contributions, despite 18 appearances in the Premier League.
Therefore, if his loan deal had been terminated early, it’s unlikely you would’ve heard too many complaints from the supporters at Goodison.
There is no doubt that Moyes needs to make additions to his side before the window closes on 3 February and, with that in mind, it wouldn’t have been surprising to see the decision made to free up a domestic loan space, especially if this had been something that suited his parent club too.

That being said, the new Blues boss has shown his ability to make his side perform again, which earlier this season looked unlikely.
However, having made just one appearance under his new manager so far, suggests there is plenty of convincing to be done at this stage.
The 28-year-old certainly needs to get his head down but if he can get himself in favour and improve his form under Moyes in the remainder of the season, it will put him in a much nicer position by the time the summer transfer window comes around.
