Everton Exclusive: Moyes wants four new signings in late transfer blizzard

Bryan King has revealed that David Moyes is keen to bring at least four new players to Everton.

The ex-Goodison scout claims Moyes is unhappy with his current squad, which has now been weakened further after an update on the injured Orel Mangala.

As reported by iNews (30 January), the Friedkin Group have made funds available as the Toffees target two late signings before the winter transfer window closes on 3 February.

However, according to King – speaking exclusively to Goodison News – Moyes wants at least four new players through the door at Finch Farm.

“Everton have been in good form recently,” King said.

“However, they’ve got some tough games coming up, and they’re going to need bodies. I’ve read, and I’ve actually spoken to a couple of people, and David’s [Moyes] immediate assumption of the squad was not good.

“We need new players I believe he said, and he is looking to bring in four players to make the squad more focussed.”

Everton to bring in four signings before 3 February?

The Toffees have been in good form as of late, and Moyes already appears to have steered the club clear of a relegation dogfight after back-to-back wins over Brighton and Tottenham in the Premier League.

However, it appears as though he isn’t entirely satisfied with his squad, which is understandable as the 61-year-old has only recently taken over at Goodison Park and has inherited players who aren’t his own.

With Dominic Calvert-Lewin ruled out due to injury, and the future of Beto still unclear – as a player-plus-cash deal is mooted – what Everton certainly need is a striker.

If they can get that sorted, and sign an extra player too, fans would likely be satisfied.

While it is exciting to read that Moyes wants four new players, bringing those four players in over the next few days feels as though it will be difficult.

However, it demonstrates that once the summer comes around, Moyes will be banging on Dan Friedkin’s door and demanding new signings as he looks to restore the Toffees to their former glory.

In other Everton news, the club could make a maximum bid of £25million for one Premier League striker.
