Andy Gray blown away by what Everton player did in 4-0 win v Leicester City

Andy Gray was blown away by Abdoulaye Doucoure during the Everton win against Leicester City on Saturday.

The Toffees secured a superb 4-0 home win on 1 February thanks to a goal from the Mali international, Iliman Ndiaye and a brace from Beto.

It was the 32-year-old who caught the eye of Gray live on beIN Sports 1 [1 February, 3:05pm] for his strike with just 10 seconds on the clock at Goodison Park.

He said: “Abdoulaye Doucoure, if he means this first touch, it’s absolutely sensational. The second one was pretty good, too.”

Given that the Toffees grabbed the lead after just 10 seconds, it is fair to say that the home side burst out of the traps to great effect.

This proved to be too much for the Foxes who just couldn’t deal with the attacking force that Moyes’ men were able to put up.

Even without the likes of Dominic Calvert-Lewin, Armando Broja and Dwight McNeil, the Evertonians were able to grab three goals without reply.

This just goes to show the difference that the manager can make on his side when giving the freedom to create and go forward.

Doucoure is a prime example of this as he burst forward against Ruud van Nistelrooy’s side to net an early strike to get the Toffees on their way.

With a clash coming up against Bournemouth before a Merseyside Derby, the Goodison faithful will be hoping to see more of the same from the ex-Watford ace.
