Victor Lindelof could leave Manchester United within hours, Everton named
Manchester United could sell Victor Lindelof before the transfer deadline with Everton interested, according to Alex Crook.
Speaking on the talkSPORT Transfer Notebook Podcast (31 January), Crook states the Toffees have looked at Lindelof during the winter transfer window as David Moyes seeks to strengthen his side.
The 30-year-old is out of contract at Old Trafford at the end of the season and Crook argues that the Red Devils are likely to accept an offer if it arrives before the 3 February deadline.
Crook said: “They’d probably let Victor Lindelof go if someone came in between now and 11pm on Monday because he’s out of contract at the end of the season.
“I know Ruud van Nistelrooy has looked at him, Everton as well.”
Everton don’t need to push Victor Lindelof transfer
Although Lindelof is an experienced Premier League player and his current club is likely to sanction an exit, it does not mean that this is something the Toffees need to go for.
The Blues have been defensively solid throughout the season so far and it is going forward where they need to make additions to add more creativity and score more goals.
Furthermore, with Dominic Calvert-Lewin and Armando Broja both having picked up injuries, the need for an attacking boost is even more pressing for Moyes.

Moyes has made no secret of his concerns over PSR regulations and being compliant to ensure no further points deductions at Goodison Park, so spending money on this wouldn’t make much sense.
It’s certainly something to keep an eye on ahead of the summer transfer window, especially if the 30-year-old will then be a free agent but for the time being, the Toffees need to focus their search.
