Everton submit deal sheet to Premier League for post-deadline signing – Paul Joyce
Everton are still working on a deal to sign Carlos Alcaraz following the passing of the 11pm transfer deadline, according to Paul Joyce.
The Times journalist reported via his personal X account [3 February] that the Toffees have handed in a deal sheet in order to finalise the deal for the Flamengo midfielder.
With extra time now granted for David Moyes’ side to get the deal done, supporters will be expecting an official announcement any time soon as business continues at Goodison Park.
“Everton still working on Carlos Alcaraz’s loan deal from Flamengo so have submitted a deal sheet to Premier League, granting extra time to try and progress the transfer,” he said.
Carlos Alcaraz transfer continues to baffle at Everton
Supporters have been expecting Alcaraz to be announced for the entire transfer window, yet the saga continues despite plenty of positive updates.
Those fans have every right to be excited about the potential of the former Southampton man arriving on Merseyside, given how well he did during his time at St Mary’s Stadium.
However, that excitement could quickly become fear after a deal sheet was forced to be used in order to land the player’s signature now that the winter window has slammed shut.
It’s just such a confusing situation.
With Moyes suffering from multiple key injuries, including Orel Mangala and Dominic Calvert-Lewin, but clear problems with PSR, there was never going to be loads of transfer activity.

But with Alcaraz’s deal looking all but done at Goodison Park, fans were not expecting more but were happy if the Argentine was the player to come in during the window.
While the transfer window has now passed, supporters are still awaiting the deal to be confirmed.
