Everton striker transfer update shared amid Calvert-Lewin and Broja news
Everton will not be signing a striker before the transfer deadline with Dominic Calvert-Lewin and Armando Broja both ahead of schedule in their return from injury, according to Antoni Toloui.
The journalist, speaking live on Sky Sports News (3 February, 3:23pm), claimed that Everton will not be pursuing the signing of a striker this window.
The Toffees had been mooted to complete the signing of Rangers forward Hamza Igamane but the latest update from Toloui suggests that will not be the case, with positive news shared on Everton’s attacking duo.
“I’m told [Broja’s] recovery is going very well,” said Toloui. “He could be back in the next four to five weeks’ time.
“I’m told Everton are expecting [Calvert-Lewin] back to play for the club before the end of the season as well. It means they are unlikely to sign a striker today.”
Everton may be forced to rue transfer decision
With the Toffees said to be against the arrival of a new frontman, it leaves them with just Beto as a natural striker option although they will be boosted by the return of Broja within the next six weeks.
That leaves a lot of hope for the ex-Chelsea star to hit the ground running when he does return while putting a lot of pressure on Beto to be the only recognised striker.

David Moyes has done a magnificent job since his return to Goodison Park but the arrival of a striker could have provided a massive boost to their hopes of avoiding relegation, which they now certainly look on track to achieve.
While Beto has shown promise, the Toffees will be just one more injury away from an attacking crisis and it seems like a needless risk to take with hours remaining in the transfer window but only time will tell if that pays off.
In other Everton news, a Serie A club could make a last-ditch bid for this Merseyside ace.
