Carlos Alcaraz ‘to make Everton debut v Bournemouth’ as ‘perfect’ claim emerges
Bryan King believes Carlos Alcaraz will make his debut for Everton against Bournemouth.
The ex-Goodison scout thinks the FA Cup clash at Goodison Park on Saturday (8 February) – which David Moyes is expected to make five changes for – could be the perfect way for the midfielder to introduce himself to his new fans.
Alcaraz was the only arrival at Everton during the winter transfer window, with Moyes hailed for his role in the signing.
And King – speaking exclusively to Goodison News – believes the 22-year-old will be able to handle the pressure on his shoulders.
“I think Alcaraz will come straight in to make his debut for Everton against Bournemouth,” King said.
“This was clearly a replacement for Orel Mangala. However, if they’re prepared to bring him in, then it shouldn’t be a risk to throw him straight in. If you bring in a player of that quality, then you play him.
“Making his debut in a cup game is the perfect way to introduce himself to his new supporters. There will be a lot of expectation on his shoulders, as is the nature of modern-day football, but he seems to be a half-decent player who can handle the pressure.”
Carlos Alcaraz to make Everton debut v Bournemouth?
Moyes is thought to already be unhappy at Goodison after a rather underwhelming winter transfer window for the Toffees.
However, he does have one new player to call on, and Alcaraz could make an instant impact by helping his new side advance to the fifth round of the FA Cup.

Bournemouth have proven this season that they are no pushovers, and getting past Andoni Iraola’s side won’t be an easy task. However, after the start that Moyes has made to life at Goodison, fans would be unwise to rule the Toffees out in this one.
