Everton are in ‘safe hands’ with TFG despite ‘Unhappy’ David Moyes admission
Everton supporters should be encouraged by how The Friedkin Group conducted themselves throughout the winter transfer window.
Although the transfer dragged on throughout Deadline Day, Carlos Alcaraz joined as the sole arrival at Goodison Park, with the Blues submitting a deal sheet to the Premier League to complete the signing after the 11pm deadline (Paul Joyce, 3 February).
However, discrepancies have since emerged on Merseyside after ex-Toffees scout Bryan King told Goodison News on 5 February, that Moyes will be unhappy with only one signing through the door.
In contrast, the lack of activity showcases TFG’s methodical approach and a level of composure lacking at Everton throughout the Farhad Moshiri era.
The Friedkin Group know what they are doing at Everton
Early on Deadline Day (3 February), Everton sources told Goodison News that multiple discussions were taking place for several potential signings.
Evidently, those talks failed to materialise into concrete moves, but this is not necessarily a failure on TFG’s part.
While the details of which players were targeted and the outcome of the discussions remain unknown – the Blues will no longer sign players for the sake of bolstering the squad.
Indeed, Moyes has every right to be frustrated should he feel he is still one or two players short of comfortably avoiding a relegation battle this season, but in the final days of the transfer window, only a limited number of quality options remained on the market.

Furthermore, Goodison Park is not the most desirable landing spot at the midway point of the campaign, and there are question marks surrounding whether they will retain their top-flight status.
With so much at stake, with an impending move to Bramley-Moore Dock next season, introducing players who will not immediately impact Everton could be the difference between Premier League and Championship football.
Moyes is already making great strides on Merseyside – his three wins from four league games match his predecessor Sean Dyche’s record in 19 matches – the eight goals scored equate to 34 per cent of the total goals scored in the Premier League thus far.
The Toffees boss is getting the best out of the players he has at his disposal and has more than enough quality personnel to achieve his goals this year – he can bolster his squad with top-quality talent in the summer.
