Goodison Park was treated to an absolute classic between Everton and Liverpool and the Premier League chimed in with an official announcement.
Beto and Alexis Mac Allister traded goals in the first half, setting the second half up for an incredible last Merseyside derby at Goodison on Wednesday 12 February.
Mohamed Salah thought he had claimed all three points for Arne Slot’s team, only for James Tarkowski to pop up in the eighth minute of added time to volley home an incredible equaliser.
The crowd held its collective breath once it was announced the goal was being checked by VAR, with Goodison Park erupting once again after Michael Oliver gave the goal.

VAR nearly ruined the party at Goodison Park, with supporters having to endure a long wait before the referee pointed to the centre spot.
It was a magical moment, and the Premier League has now explained the decision.
Announcing via X [12 February], the Premier League Match Centre said: “The referee’s call of goal was checked and confirmed by the VAR- who established that Doucouré was in an onside position in the build-up.”

Any other side could have played out the final few minutes, but with so much emotion travelling around the stadium, it felt fitting to see such wild scenes emerge just seconds before the full-time whistle.
The current players, who looked to be sleepwalking closer to the relegation zone under Sean Dyche, have written themselves into the history books, and rightly so.
Slot’s team are looking to win the Premier League, and while they are still likely to do so, the draw will taste incredibly sweet after scoring so late in added time in front of their passionate fans.
Fans will tell that story for decades to come as Tarkowski became an absolute hero at Goodison Park. All of this passion will only come with them to Bramley-Moore Dock Stadium. Amazing.
