O’Hara calls for Everton fan to be banned after what he did in draw v Liverpool

Jamie O’Hara has jokingly called for an Everton fan to be banned from Goodison Park due to his actions during the 2-2 draw against Liverpool on Wednesday.

David Moyes was forced to wait until the eighth minute of added time for a dramatic equaliser from his centre-back, crushing Arne Slot and his side’s hopes of three points on 12 February.

Goodison Park was electric after Beto opened the scoring after just 11 minutes, only to be quietened five minutes later as Alexis Mac Allister headed past Jordan Pickford.

With Mohamed Salah scoring his first big chance of the match, it looked as though the Toffees were going to fizzle out in their final Merseyside derby at Goodison Park.

That was until a seismic moment from James Tarkowski, but one fan admitted he left early and missed the moment.

Calling into talkSPORT [12 February, 10:11pm], an Everton fan admitted leaving before the eight minutes of added time were up, meaning he missed the incredible scenes.

Astonished, Cundy said: “Woah! What do you mean?” to which O’Hara said: “Sorry, what did you just say?”

He continued: “No… No, you didn’t! Are you an idiot? It’s the last one [Merseyside derby] at Goodison Park – what are you talking about? That’s one of the biggest stinkers I’ve ever heard.”

Cundy added: “Your head would have wobbled with euphoria and you left early?” before O’Hara finally said: “That’s unacceptable. You should be banned from the ground. You just missed one of the most historic moments at Goodison Park ever.”

David Moyes era continues with incredible Liverpool scenes

Few supporters from outside clubs gave the Toffees any chance of securing a positive result against their bitter results, but they were eventually proven wrong in added time.

The new manager can now boast three consecutive wins over Tottenham, Brighton and Leicester City, even before the Blues were plunged into a dreamworld on Merseyside.

This is the kind of story that will be told for decades to come, even after the supporters have moved to the Bramley-Moore Dock Stadium. It was a truly magical moment for everyone in the stadium.

Of course, there were a few ugly scenes for referee Michael Oliver to contend with, but considering all the emotions at Goodison Park, the players did quite well to hold it in until that moment.

Arne Slot, arguably, lost his head the most of all, being sent off after the full-time whistle, and he was furious throughout the clash before his team dropped two points at the death.

Moyes and his team came up with a plan, and with Liverpool heading back to Anfield with a single point, all the planning has massively paid off, creating a special moment for the fans.

It was just incredible.
